FAQ's

Do i pay by the lesson or at the start of the term?

Full payment is collected before the start of the the first lesson. If this is not possible a minimum of $50 deposit is necessary to confirm your childs placement in the class, and also for ensuring you obtain your At Home Materials in your first class. The rest of the payment will be collected on the morning of your first lesson.

What if my child is sick for a lesson?

At the end of each term a make up class is run for any children who missed a lesson. Also, if able, your child can attend a make up class on another day (Monday or Friday) anytime during the rest of the term.

What if i know i will be away for a number of weeks?

If you are aware of any dates you will not be able to attend, the first option is to attend the other classes on another day. If this is not possible, for an extenuating circumstance full term payment will be adjusted accordingly.

Do you do private classes for groups of friends?

Some people have preferred the course to be run in the comfort of their own home with a group of friends. Upon negotiation of my availability, this may be an option. The class needs to be held in a room no smaller than 15 square meters, with no furniture or other objects which may pose risk for a child freely moving in the area. A minimum of 6 required for these private classes.

For the classes held at Run-A-Muk, do i have to pay entry for my child to do the kindermusik class?

No. An entry payment is only paid if your child is going to play in the center. If your child is going to play, Run-A-Muk is charging only $4.00 for the entry fee (thats $3.00 off!)

Sign & Sing 6 months to 3 years

New! Kindermusik Sign & Sing
Sign language curriculum for parents with hearing children

A different approach from other sign language programs. Through songs, toys, and loving playtime between you and your child, Kindermusik Sign & Sing shows you more than 50 signs your child can use to communicate with you. Using research-proven methods shown to speed language development in hearing children, you'll see how sign language can ease frustration and enhance long-term learning abilities for your child.

Songs and fingerplays. Already accustomed to fingerplays and rhyme-songs—such as "This Little Piggy"—you'll easily substitute American Sign Language (ASL) signs in familiar songs, improving your child's language skills, fine motor skills, and strengthen fingers for zipping zippers and using scissors.

Learn when you play. You'll never have to memorize a list of signs. This curriculum gives you the ASL signs that are most useful to you, and most interesting to your child. So playtime and everyday items around the house—ball, bubbles, mom and dad—become the objects of learning in the classroom, and sign language becomes a natural, happy part of your child's day.

Hearing children who know signs, learn language almost twice as fast. As early as 11-14 months old, hearing children exposed to sign language put little sentences together faster than non-signing children, who do not begin to combine words into short sentences, such as "Da-da car" until the average age of 20 months.
Study conducted by Dr. Michelle Anthony and Dr. Reyna Lindert, Signing Smart program founders.

Benefits for Your Child and You

  • Communicate with your child even before she can form the words.
  • Ease a child's frustration by helping her communicate what she needs, speed language development, and enhance long-term learning abilities.
  • Know when your child is most ready to interact and learn.
  • Learn sign language teaching methods, such as making the sign on a child's body, on the floor, or hand over hand.
  • Recognize and respond to your child's version of signs.

Enjoy the Journey All Week Long
Sign & Sing is much more than a weekly class. The At Home Materials you receive from your Educator help you to continue that one-of-a-kind experience at home. Family involvement in your child's learning is a fundamental cornerstone of the Kindermusik philosophy because we believe the parent is the child's most important teacher and the home is the most important place for a child's learning to take root and grow.

Imagine That 3 to 5 years

Imagine That! takes you and your child on a musical journey of discovery and exploration…a journey limited only by the power of imagination. Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, movement and literature to capture your child’s potential to learn and to encourage cognitive and literacy skills, creativity and individuality.

Kindermusik Imagine That! is designed for active, energetic, enthusiastic, and imaginative 3- and 4-year-olds and encourages socialization, sharing, and participating in group activities. Singing becomes a focus for enhancing the preschooler's vocal development as her expressive language is just beginning to emerge..

Benefits for Your Child and You

  • Nurtures your child's imagination and creativity.
  • Creates a learning environment that integrates music, expressive language, peer interaction and pretend play.
  • Challenges your child through activities that promote problem-solving, making choices and expressing ideas.
  • Allows your child to have an active role in the development of music and movement activities.
